Take an
Introductory or Scenic Flight!
Get your head in the clouds (figuratively of course) and discover that experience which must be felt to be
believed - you'll land but you'll never come down. What on earth are you waiting
for? We offer the following introductory options.
Option #1
1st Lesson - 90 minute introductory lesson includes:
- Pre-flight discussion of airplane systems.
- Introduction to pre-flight aircraft inspection, aircraft control surfaces, taxi procedures, and communication
procedures.
- 40 minute flight: Starts with a tour of Grand Junction with student at the controls. Instructor is at the second set
of controls. Student will participate in the basics of taxi, takeoff, climbs, turns, straight and level, descents
and landings.
- Post Flight discussion: Overview of the training program and syllabus.
Option #2
1st Lesson - Three Hour introductory lesson includes:
- Pre-flight discussion of airplane systems.
- Introduction to pre-flight aircraft inspection, aircraft control surfaces, taxi procedures, and communication
procedures.
- Flight: Starts with a tour of Grand Junction with student at the controls. Instructor is at the second set
of controls. Student will participate in the basics of taxi, takeoff, climbs, turns, straight and level, descents
and landings. The flight continues on to another airport approximately 26 miles from Grand Junction so the student
is introduced to navigation and cross country procedures.
- Post Flight discussion: Overview of the training program and syllabus.
